Muslims for Life Campaign Update 2017: 

To honor the victims of 9/11 and emphasize Islam’s essential teaching regarding the sanctity of life, the Ahmadiyya Muslims Community, USA began organizing blood drives all across the nation in 2011. The “Muslims for Life” Campaign has now become a nationwide annual event.

Timeline:

2011: In 168 cities, 269 blood drives collected a total of 11,803 pints of blood.

2012: 376 one-day blood drives collected 11,170 pints.

2013: 261 Blood Drives held by 66 local branches of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community collected 10,377 pints.

2014: 168 one-day blood drives were registered by 54 of our local branches that helped collect some 6,127 pints.

2015: Over 50 drives were registered to collect over 7,000 pints of blood.

2016: Over 50 drives were registered to collect over 7,000 pints of blood.

Over the six years since inception the Muslims for Life campaigns have thus helped to arrange some 1,174 blood drives which collected 54,477 pints – enough to have helped save as many as 162,351 lives. We again thank profoundly the many faith and non-faith based organizations whose collaboration makes all this possible. We are sincerely grateful to them all and pray that God bless them for their help and assistance.
